BLOOMING
INITIATIVE
Philanthropy beyond funding
Blooming Initiative combines microgrants, capacity building and storytelling with a relationship based longer term approach, to strengthen grassroots communities that are prototyping regenerative economies based on care for people and planet.

During a 4 year cycle, Blooming groups are granted with micro financial support and have complete agency around its use.

Blooming groups develop their chosen skills towards resilience and self-sustainability, counting on Be The Earth's network of experts and tailored facilitation.

All through their journey, Blooming groups take part in events and shared learning experiences that aim to leverage impact from collective intelligence.

Be The Earth funds training and audiovisual assets that offer Blooming groups the opportunity to engage wider audiences of supporters and collaborators.

RESILIENT CHANGE
Blooming began in 2020 as an experimental grant giving approach that aimed to learn from inspiring initiatives that are creating change through community-led and nature-based practices. After two years of mutual learnings, it evolved into a programme. The groups are currently selected by invitation only, and we envision expanding the cohort of Blooming groups in the upcoming years relying on our constant process of reflection and improvement.

The ultimate goal of Blooming Initiative is to build resilience by combining diverse resources (financial and beyond), relationships and trust amongst those that dedicate their lives to regenerate the planet.

In addition to that, Be The Earth wishes to create potential models for participatory and creative use of philanthropic resources that ignite reciprocity and alignment between theory and practice.
