FOR A WORLD THAT NURTURES ALL BEINGS
We are a fungal network
We create connection and provide nourishment across the ecosystem we operate in.
We collaborate, catalyse and champion work done locally and internationally, from the grassroots to global institutions, bringing some of the richest individuals on the planet into relationship with some of the world’s most deprived communities.

How do we move from
an ego-centric economy to an eco-centric economy?
Be The Earth is a family foundation
exploring ethical, care-centred ways
to grow and share wealth
to help build an economic system
that prioritises the flourishing of all life
over the accumulation of power and profit.

So the world would be a place where we all are allowed to dream. And these dreams would come true. We wouldn’t be pruned, we wouldn’t be hampered, we wouldn’t be murdered. Our dreams would truly be manifested

How we work
We are guided by feminine intelligence
Our work puts women’s perspectives, experiences and needs at the front and centre of building a better future.
We support the whole human
Nurturing the people we work with, not just the work they do, is at the heart of our mission.
We sit in circles
We are governed by sociocracy, and our Programmes, Partnerships and Investments prioritise co-creation and power-sharing
We value multiple forms of wealth
Alongside finance, we value social, natural, and human capital and factor these in to our decision-making, working practices and impact assessments
We listen to the voice of nature
Touching hearts, expanding minds and inspiring more hands to help build a better future for all life on Earth
Aura
Aura reclaims and centres women's wisdom in regenerating systems that support all life to flourish, creating pathways towards the holistic development of women leaders and their surrounding communities from a feminine-centric perspective. The circles follow 9 elements, carefully harvested and brought to the surface to help build the egregore of care and transformation for women.
Valuing the role of giving, nurturing and sustaining human life, with the opportunity of in-person connection, rituals in nature and creation of kinship, our circles of Aura Fellows highlight the importance of community and relationship to land, and all its complexities and nuances, as crucial elements for regeneration. Our Aura Programmes have been running since 2020.

Flow Funding
Be The Earth’s Flow Funding Programmes share power with experienced activists and visionary leaders, who receive philanthropic funds directly into their bank accounts and then allocate the money as they choose to based on trust, intuition, and their intimate understanding of grassroots work in their communities.
Prioritising trust and relationships in order to decentralise the redistribution of wealth, this approach minimises bureaucracy, and allows funds to reach people and projects beyond the scope of traditional philanthropy. Be The Earth has been doing Flow Funding since 2020.
Giving Circle
Our Giving Circle Programmes convene six women to collectively decide how to distribute funds to individuals, projects, and communities. Fellows are all activists and leaders, and a core part of this emergent methodology is that before funds are distributed, the group must first decide how to decide.
This approach prioritises nurturing, inclusivity, and relationship-building to challenge traditional models of patriarchy, financial power, and decision-making. Be The Earth’s Giving Circle programme has been running since 2021

Aura Stories

AURA
Reimagining individual and collective action through nurturing the feminine

"As a social entrepreneur and co-founder in Brazil, I spent many years looking for funding and couldn’t find anything like this – a funder that really trusted me and my work. The bureaucracy of writing projects that “fit” the funder, reports and accountability, took me time, dedication and gave me lots of stress, especially when it comes to the Amazon, where it's absolutely impossible to find invoices and receipts."
