Programme Overview
Launched in summer 2022, the Blossom Impact Accelerator brought together 13 mission-driven businesses transforming food systems in the UK. Over a four-month journey, participants ranged from regenerative farms and consumer products to waste processing and tech-enabled services.
Blossom offered participants a unique blend of immersive retreats, online workshops, and personalised mentoring, all designed to cultivate innovation, collaboration, and wellbeing.
Highlights included a 48-hour in-person kick-off retreat at 42 Acres, fostering deep connections, and culminating in a live pitch event with expert judges and top investors. Participants competed for a £15,000 cash prize while accessing the £1M Blossom Investment Pot — all with no fees or equity required to join.
Developed in partnership with The DO and supported by the Bertha Foundation, Blossom prioritised community-building and holistic development for regenerative CEOs.
Why We Discontinued Blossom
Blossom was always intended as a pilot programme to experiment and learn. Despite its success, the intensive resources and costs required to run the programme led to a decision to pivot. Instead, Be The Earth now channels its insights and resources into supporting aligned partner initiatives and similar accelerators — such as Roots to Regeneration and Regenerosity — which reflects our philosophy of collaboration.
Key Lessons Learnt
The Power of In-Person Connection
The 48-hour gathering at 42 Acres was transformative, fostering a strong sense of community and connection among participants. This deepened trust and collaboration throughout the programme.
The Importance of Inner Work
Beyond business skills, the programme challenged participants to examine their beliefs about money, leadership, and abundance, helping them grow personally and professionally.
Holistic Focus on Wellbeing
Few accelerators prioritise the wellbeing of leaders, but Blossom demonstrated how supporting the inner growth of founders enhances the resilience and impact of their organisations.
The Value of Peer Support
Participants felt more bonded to a community of like-minded leaders, creating shared momentum for their regenerative journeys.
Balancing Practical and Personal Growth
Combining practical skills, like investment readiness and storytelling, with personal development helped participants feel empowered as both changemakers and individuals
