Our 2026 UK Festival: When Community Gathers, Mycelium Becomes Visible
Gathering is the oldest technology we have — and the one a fractured world has most forgotten.
Last week, on the blessed land known as 42 Acres, we gathered 100 community members for our UK Festival.
After five years, we’ve stopped treating it as an event: it is a rehearsal. For four days, the community lives as if the regenerative economy were already here.
Sharing freely, relating and listening deeply, dreaming and unlearning, morally imagining, earth dancing, garden grazing, flow funding, bridge building, project mapping, wrestling with complexity, making space for simplicity, meditating, breathing, singing, renewing our vows to nature, creating the ponds where wealth can flow like water, resourcing life. Moving at the pace of trust rather than transaction.
We rehearse the future because a future no one has practised cannot arrive.
The relationships that let capital move on trust, that let a network hold through disagreement, that let people stay in this work without burning out — these cannot be built on emails and good intentions.
They require shared time, shared place, shared presence — a shared uprising of joy.
So we gather in nature.
Farmers and funders, activists and wisdom keepers, organisers and entrepreneurs, children and elders...weavers of the future, fast and slow, radical and gentle. We think hard, feel deeply, argue, sing and rest.
We leave with one thing no financial exchange can deliver: the felt knowledge and lightness of being that we are not doing this alone — and a lived memory of how the future can feel.
